I just came across the term proactive and reactive in the kaplan revision kit a few days ago
I didn't really know what it mean

Proactive and reactive
Proactive: you regularly check the pressure of the tyres on your car. You notice that one is low, investigate and discover a nail that is causing a slow loss of air. You have it mended the next day, but, essentially, the visit to the garage is planned..
Reactive: you are driving and discover that one of your tyres is flat. It's a nail in the tyre that has allowed air to escape over some weeks. You react by phoning for help. Probably the problem is that it's night and you are in a remote place.
