Which of the following tests measures an individual’s current ability to perform a specific task or operation?
Proficiency test
Intelligence test
Aptitude test
Answer is A. I did C.
I even googled it but found my answer correct can you tell how?
Aptitude means a natural ability or skill.
These tests are usually used in recruitment to see if someone is likely to be able to be good at a job and the training needed eg computer programming.or foreign languages
Measuring current ability is a proficiency test, but it is possible, though harder, to become proficient without aptitude. For example, my wife has an aptitude for learning foreign languages. I don’t, but with hard work, I can become proficient …… at least sufficiently so to be able to ask the way to the station.
Thank you professor.
