General ACCAPractical Experience Record (PER)

Hi All, I am new to this and just want advise. I had one F paper which I did in June and passed. I am attempting P1 in December. I do work in Finance sector as accounts assistant and my tasks are credit control, banking, reconciling statements and solving queries. I am just after some advise in answering challenging questions. When is the best time to attempt them and how do you go on about attempting them? Thanks
