Common man, you can do it πŸ™‚

P5 and P7 are totall different papers with a different approach. But if you can bulk up on knowledge to a certain extent, practice exam questions and Good exam technique – u will be sorted.

pls bro dont go that too far. I share ur pains and feeling but God knows best. There is a reason for everything God does. He is the all-knowing and all-wise. Buckle up a bit and move on. Today God made my day and i passed p7 with 55% after four attempts. Its hard but i didnt feel like dying. Far from it! i sat down and realise my faults and pull the trigger again, this time with a good shot. I av been in this forum each time i fail,so i av a bit of what u felt. I shld av qualified long ago in 2008,but c me now,not untill 2010 when i finally made it just with a single paper left since 2008! so u are not alone in the world. Have faith in God and get back to ur studies, this time, with a more determined mind that ever before. Let me ask u a question. What will u gain after coming so close,to leave everything like dat and die? mSay no to it. U must reap from the fruits of ur labour. so Wake up ,my dear friend,WAKE UP,COZ LIFE IS D SPECIAL GIFT WE AV FROM GOD!!!!!!!!

Thanx bro for the kind words and suggestions. At times one really feels hurt when one tried his best but still it doesn’t makes it to 50 and ppl around him start to think that he’s becoming a dumb @**

Well may be the MightyOne has got a better plan for me then what i wanted.

Yeah i think there is room for improvement in exam technique and time allocation skills

Well i dont even know if i am to continue my career in accountancy but goona give i last try with my whole commitment (Hopefully will finish what i have started.)

I failed in December 2009. And I passed this time. I even don’t care how much marks I scored b/c I see my name in the list of finalist.
Well…As for now it does not seem it infliuences on my career a lot, probaly, because I am in Moscow. I spent 3, 5 years for ACCA, despite the fact I was already holder of a masters degree but in Mathimatics in Economics.

I wish good luck to everybody! If you really want it you will do it.

Cleared P5 with 78;) yahoo very happy

I am curious of how did you answer your 4 questions and score 78 marks. I scored 48 marks in Jun 09 and stopped until Dec10 to try again. Must complete before the change of syllabus from jun 2011. Grateful if you can spend time to think and reply. I believe others here will want to know of your wonderful skills too.

    How to pass P5

I see a lot of advice goin around on how to pass this paper. I got the world prize for this (not at this sitting) so thought my two cents might be worth something.
-read the FTC text book and revision kit: text book is pretty tiny but its more than enough (i’ve always found BPP too bulky though they’re ok for some of the more theory oriented papers and get thru guides have never been my style)
-MOST IMPORTANT: read the examiners articles in the student accountant. The examiner here is basically telling you wat he wants in these and you’ve got to be crazy to not read these. It’s almost like the answers to the exam!
-go through the past papers. practice a few. I was too lazy to actually do the questions…i usually just read the answers.
-i did p3 at the same time and it helped alot coz a lot of the models were the same.
-the questions are not straightforward. Dont panic at the exam. Sit, read, think. Dont regurgitate wat you learnt in the book. Apply the principles in the models and theories to the questions.
-Dont write too much. People write like 5 booklets sometimes. the examiner is goin to get sick of reading all your (mostly off point) answers. Stick to the point. Be direct. Write your reasoning down.

    Hi Blue,

I studied Kaplan text book, revision kit and examiner’s articles. However, I still failed with 42.

I didn’t have time management problem. I’m thinking if my knowledge is not good enough to pass P5 or the way I answered questions was not right. I knew calculation is my weakness as well.

Can you give me any guidance? Thanks.
