Can you please help me understand in 1st question how did they get the share capital figure ?
I mean 12m shares were there against which 75% was acquired so technically 900k should have been mentioned instead ? PLease help me understand where am I getting wrong here.

The share capital of the subsidiary is the 12 million 50 cents equity shares. So, this would be recorded as $6 million in the accounts, being 12 million x $0.5.
