Greetings,
I am hoping to submit RAP for Nov 20 session and I am still not sure which topic to choose. I would be grateful if someone could guide me for following:1. I am aware that Topic 8 being the most popular and easy to get secondary data, is there any other topic which can be researched using solely secondary data?
2. In context of industry requirements for topic 8, if I choose courier companies such as UPS or DHL, would they meet the criteria – “Delivery Services – Operators of mail and package delivery services for commercial and consumer use. Includes courier and logistic services primarily involving air transportation” I am confused about last bit which says that logistic services primarily involving air transportation. For instance, UPS has operations involving both by road and by air shipments. .
3. If I go ahead with courier company UPS, while choosing a comparator, does comparator need to have exactly same operations as of original company being evaluated? For instance, UPS has operations including supply chain management whereas competitor company may not have supply chain operations but operate in similar other major operations.
4. Please suggest if should choose Courier company or Automobile company.
Thank you for considering such a long query.
God BlessSeptember 21, 2020 at 7:08 am #586272There are several other topics that only require secondary data including Topics 15 -20. If you go to the OBU student website -see link below -you will find lots of useful information including a sheet on ‘Primary data’ that lists out every topic and shows which topics can be done with second data alone.

However you’ve left it rather late now to submit in P41 if you haven’t even begun yet and it would be best to think about submitting in May 2020. The closing date for P41 submissions is midday 11 November (so under 8 weeks to produce a 7,000 -7,500 research and, analysis report, 2,000 word SLS and the Presentation slides)..
Also most decent mentors will be unable to fit you in now as they will already have their full quota of students and be too busy. With the submission fee set now at GBP420 unless you have a good chance of passing you would be throwing money away….
All in all unless P41 is your only submission attempt remaining you should seriously think about May 2021 – it would be far more sensible!
