ohhh thats alright mike , you’ve helped me alot already . anyways mike i gotta ask you something .. i was watching the p2 lectures on consolidations and i was really confused about one thing . in chapter 3 , example 4 .. when your working out the goodwill in Working2 , after deducting the FV of NA @ DOA from the cost of investment , you get the goodwill figure , but then you allocated the group’s share of that good will to each column , 70% for the first column and 2/15 and 7/15 for the 2nd and 3rd column .. BUT you didnt do this goodwill allocation thing in previous example , which is example 3 .. is there any reason for that ?

    Hi

Only because in the Anda example, there is a “D” shaped group with three different acquisitions. The goodwill allocation was because in Kristina the nci was proportional whereas in Liene the nci was at fair value

    Does that explain it?
