Is knowledge of F4 paper necessary before studying F5 and F6. I am planning to study F5 and F6 before F4

no, u may go ahead. Study F5 & F6, they are completely different subjects.

Hussain: aku92 is correct. Papers F5 and F6 require no knowledge at all from F4.
