Somehow I got through F8,P2,P3,P5 in the last sitting, and now have just the one paper left.
Please can anyone advise on which one to take. It actually took me 3 attempts to pass F8, however I got 73% in the 3rd attempt and found it quite straightfoward in the end. I have done research on each of these 3 P modules, but just want advice from people who have taken them? Right now I am inclined to take Financial Management, but Ive heard it is the hardest P module.
Please would appreciate any help. Thanks

p4 -p7 or p6?March 2, 2011 at 4:59 am #78754p4 = hell, but a very useful paper as the knowledge is valuable for those in the financial sector
P6 = next to hell, quite simple but tax rules change. My advice is always attempt this paper at the June sitting so if it doesnt work out, you can use the information for the december sitting. Rules change every year
P7 = ?. Not a bad paper. A must if you are in auditing. Links a lot with the F8 knowledge, but requires you to think like an audit senior/manager.My options were P6 and P7. I survived, and I have very little accounting knowledge;.

That explains why I felt my life had practically ended in the December session – I sat both P4 and P6! Both extremely interesting papers, but both were hell, as you correctly stated!

Hi Alkemist,
Yes, it worked out for me at first attempt, so I’m very pleased, but I can tell you P4 was not my strongest paper – I sat it merely as it was of interest to me. I doubt I would ever consider this as a career option, but I found it useful but it was a LOT of hard work!
I’m glad I stuck with my gut though – P5 and P7 were never an option for me, so I’m happy I did them now I’m a member!
