I have went through p1 past papers,p3 is yet to start.P4 is something i had attempted but didnt pass.Should i be giving all three at sep sitting? will the remaining 1mon enough for me to buck up?
July 23, 2017 at 11:22 am #398215Depends on a number for factors for example, the margin by which you failed P4, this will determine whether you lack exam technique or you haven’t properly grasped the syllabus, which in turn will decide the amount of work you will have to do in the remaining month.
Another factor is how much you have prepared for P1. If you have merely went through some past papers then this looks too little convincing. You need to get hold of a revision kit and practice from that.
If I were you, I would drop P3 immediately, there is no room for it. I would PROBABLY drop P1 too but I don’t know if you have even started studying P4 again or not, please let me know about it. Also if you are a full time student or whether you work part or full time.July 23, 2017 at 12:59 pm #398223hi, i got 39 for p4. I haven’t started learning p4 yet.I know where i struggled so this time i will probably focus on it.I think I can finish revising p4 in few days as I had revised four times before i had appeared for exam.I guess my memory is still fresh. I took past paper from 2009-2017 .Will read again and make crisp points.Revision kit is too huge.I doubt if i can finish. So considering all what i said now,you advise me to drop p3 .Isnt it? actually how many months required to appear 3 p papers at one go?
July 24, 2017 at 7:42 am #398300Past papers of P1 as an alternative to a revision kit is fine, just make sure you also test yourself under exam conditions after you are done reading the questions and answers.
Yes I advise you to drop P3.
I being a full time student and a finalist, am preparing 3 P level exam exams but for December session. It is quite an ideal practice to prepare for 3 P level exams for 5 months rather than just 2 or 3 months like you are aiming to. I strongly advise you against that.
Go for P1 and P4. You have P4 material fresh in your mind and P1 is the easiest P level paper so that makes it a good combination provided the time that is left now.
Hope that helped.July 24, 2017 at 8:46 am #398315Thank you so much for taking an effort to make me understand.Yes I dropped p3.I will just do the things what you have advised me ; practising under exam condition .I never tried because I was always afraid to. 😛
July 24, 2017 at 11:21 am #398382You’re welcome.
If you are afraid to “prepare” for the fight then what will you do in the actual battlefield? 😛
(I mean the exam) 😛Don’t go for writing full answers just now, make pointers which you know you can expand further. Just make as many markable points you can and then compare to the mark scheme.
July 24, 2017 at 12:55 pm #398397Okay will do . 🙂
