sir I am totally confused about this words since my native language is not English so I would like to know that what is owed to and owed by mean is it,
Owed to= receivables and
Owed by= payables
If it is owed to the company in question, then it is a receivable of that company.
If it is owed by the company in question, then it is a payable of that company.
Owed to: This means you must pay someone. Think of it as receivables – money that others owe to you or that you owe to someone else. For example, if you owe money to your friend, you owe to your friend.
Owed by: This means someone else owes you money. Think of it as payables – money that you owe to others or that others owe to you.
