    Hi Guys,

    I am new here.

I am planning to write the case study exam in Nov . I have been offered exemptions for E1,P1 &F1 and certificate level.

I have downloaded open tuition study notes for E1, PI & F1 for revision purposes and I have realized that I am familiar with the material covered.

What is the likelihood of passing the case study exam without attempting the 3 OT’s exams?. Has anyone done this before and passed the case study exam in first attempt?.

I also want to know if the open book policy applies during exams, are we allowed to bring IFRS handbooks ?.

P.S If there’s anyone from South Africa who’s looking for a study buddy, you may reply with your email/number.

Hello. Im also attempting OCS this November. i was exempted from F1 & passed E1 & P1. Apparently case study is mainly technical, so you’ll have to apply your knowledge of F1, P1 & E1. It will be important to go through the notes to try and understand the theory and the models, but I think attempting the 0T’s will not be necessary because the structure of the exams is totally different. Open book policy is not allowed, you are only allowed your calculator approved by CIMA
