Did anybody only use this open tuition free study notes and watch the free lectures and pass P1. What to know if this is sufficient to pass P1. After I go through all this I’m going to buy the CIMA Aptitude Test to test my knowledge…
    Thank you

    Hi Jovand,

I passed P1 a couple of weeks ago. I found studying for this exam extremely difficult and it took me longer than expected. To ensure I had prepared as best as I could, I watched the OpenTuition lectures, purchased the Kaplan study text and exam kit and also purchased CIMA Aptitude Two.

I actually found the exam was much more theory-based than the mock exams and practice questions. If you’re passing the mock exams, you’re more than likely going to pass P1 – just make sure you’re comfortable with all areas of the syllabus and don’t rush into sitting the exam.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

I passed P1 on my second attempt. The second OT was more theory than calculations compared to the 1st OT wrote.

My greatest key to passing was managing my time better. I started with all questions I could answer quickly and left those I thought were challenging and needed more time. I then came back tackled those that I left but still was not able to complete all.

    All the best.

Hi Jovand, have you taken your P1 exam yet? How did you get on?
