    Hi Mike,

When we talk about the minimum share capital for a public & private ltd company, the requirement is one share for private and £50,000 for a public one. Does one share here equal to £1.00 as a minimum nominal value? I am just bit confused here.

    Thanks.

Any share can have nominal value of whatever value you choose

So, I suppose, in theory you could have a public company with a share capital of £50,000 being one single share of £50,000 nominal value

Of course, that will never happen ….

    …. or will it?
