Hi,
I wanted to know which layout was correct when doing investment appraisal.
Should you be entering Year 0 and having the investment on there as e.g -500000, or starting the investment appraisal at Year 1 and deduct 500000 at the end of the NPV?

There are no marks for layout.
All that matters is that it is clear to the marker what you are doing.
