How do we treat patent in the npv in foreign currency question...can plz brief me on that

There is no special rule! It depends on the information in the question such as what the payments are, to who the payments are made, and in what currency. If you are looking at a specific past exam question then tell me which one and I can explain what is done in that question and why.

I do not know which book you are referring to. I only have the BPP Revision Kit.
