Hiya!
I just graduated in Accounting & Finance with a 2:2 however, my strong points were in the actual accounting modules, unfortunately, the lesser accounting related modules dragged my overall grading down.
My question is, will I struggle with a 2:2 going ACCA?
Also the ACCA annual fees, do they last 12 months regardless of when I sign up or does it start on the 1st of January?
And thirdly, I have heard that in order to participate in the ACCA scheme with 36 months work experience, I need to be working with an ACCA qualified accountant/company. Where exactly would I find out if a company would be suitable in order for me to use them for my 36 months?
Thanks a lot in advance
Hi,
I also got a desmond and I have just sat my last exams. I found the exams a step up from uni exams so be prepared!!
I think the annual fee is for a calendar year no matter when you register, also bear in mind the fee for each exemption you might be able to claim are the same as the early exam fee!!
Finally the work experience thing is a bit out. As far as I am aware as long as you are doing accounting related work then it counts as work experience. My first employer was not acca registered but it counts as I was an assistant management accountant.
Any other queries please ask, more than happy to help!
