what are the boundaries separating an organisation from its environment
For some organisations, the boundaries are mainly physical eg prisons. However, most organisations rely more on ‘softer’ boundaries such as:
Membership of the organisation’s computer network
Access to the organisation’s data
Being on the payroll
Having an identity card
Having a job description
Appearing on the organisation chart
Being part of the chain of command
Thanks Sir it was really helpful.
