December 1, 2014 at 8:18 am #214969Which questions are you asking about?
If you mean the questions in our test, then as the page before the test says, if you need the workings for an answer then you need to copy the question and ask in the Ask the Tutor Forum. (The questions you see are drawn from a large bank of questions – every time you attempt the text you are likely to get different MCQ’s)

December 12, 2014 at 10:33 am #220310Hi Mr. John,
I just finished taking the FMA just now and I would like to seek your advice about the MTQ question which from the CBE that I attempt just now.
The question was asking to calculate the material usage variance but there wasn’t extracted the actual production and sales units.
If i not forget that It only given was the labour rate, labour efficiency, material usage variance and the budgted selling price with budgeted productionn units.I was so confuse coz of have no the actual prod and actual sales unit. Hence need ur advice whether there any alternative way to calculate if only given those kind of Information? Thanks in advance.
December 12, 2014 at 1:01 pm #220345I cannot really help much without seeing the question.
However I am puzzled because if I understand you correctly you say that the material usage variance was given?December 12, 2014 at 5:18 pm #220392Sorry typo.. only given the labour rate variance, labour efficiency variance, material *price * variance and the budgeted unit with budgeted selling price.
December 13, 2014 at 9:40 am #220427Using the labour efficiency and rate variances you would be able to calculate the actual production. Then you would be able to calculate the materials usage variance.
December 13, 2014 at 4:12 pm #220459I’m sorry. I tried to find how to calculate from those variances that you adviced but I still couldn’t find it. Could u please help to create a similar to that question with demonstrate the working? I’m sorry to trouble you coz i will re take my exam by next week and just in case this question might be appeared so I need to prepare for it. Thank you in advance.
