In the U.K. HMRC is introducing a system called making tax digital. I just would like your opinions on it. As an accountancy student I’m worried about studying for another few years to become qualified only to be told accountancy as we know it is a dead career. The way this system is being introduced with the client dealing directly with HMRC seems to cut out the need for the middle man – the accountant.
Am I right to feel this way or am I over reacting
I look forward to your replies
Thanks
The accounting field is transforming.
I think now, there is more of a focus on analysis, consulting, and advising.
I see accountants taking on leadership roles as well.
The ACCA are naming the new paper, which takes the place of P1 and P3(Sept 18), ‘Strategic Business Leader.’
Accountants will always be in demand.
