I had my SBL exam this Tuesday and my screen froze for about 40 minutes in the exam and I couldn’t access the case study or the requirements. I tried getting in touch with the proctor 7-8 times but received no response. I emailed ACCA the same evening because I wasn’t sure what documentary evidence I could provide under mitigating circumstances. They responded today and based on their response, it seems like they’re pretty much suggesting a re-sit.
SBL is one of my last exams..I attempted 22-25 marks in those 40 minutes purely out of memory of the case and requirements so it was obviously not the best quality. My question is, should I sign up for the resit next Tuesday or apply for mitigating circumstances? There’s a small part of me that’s hoping they’ll understand and consider this situation but the more rational part thinks it’s rather unlikely as 22-25 marks is a good chunk of the total.
I’d appreciate any advise please!
