Onto ACCA
I am first time finalist , awaiting SBL result and to say I am nervous would be such understatement.
It feels like a year ago since I did sbl on march 3 2020 and we are still in the same month. And the lockdown made things even slower .
I don't know what to expect from the SBL exam. The exam was so general that you cannot relate to any syllabus or text and my answers were just common sense. No models and no structure, just my own rambling. I did attempt all questions though with the best I could offer so there is hope.
Bring your experiences guys . Where are the veteran finalists? I remember a guy called chalbuala or Nasi something like that that attempted APM10 times and failed every single time. He passed December last year on 11th attempt.the persistent to overcome such adversity was inspirational and I was so happy for him to finally to put it aside.

Hello, Im finalist too. I have more than 3 years of audit experience, completed ethics module, but haven't recorded any per. Could you pls. inform how long will it take to become a member if I pass on Monday?
When are the examiners reports be out please?
It's also obvious, that ACCA monitors this forum, they had disabled the welcome page of the e business portal to avoid speculations when results are about to released as at other previous exam sessions.
It is best we wait for the examiners reports to assess our likely performance.

I feel this time the waiting time is even more difficult because of the self quarantine situation.. in the past we could go out and enjoy the days before the result to pass time.. now it's like each minute ticks away so slow..
I keep visiting the forum and read through the. Result countdown section of previous sessions as well to sense a feeling of togetherness..it is very interesting to read..the feedback of people..
I was thinking all of us here in the forum can talk about which paper they wrote.. and what is their next plan.. and how are they spending the time..and which paper was the most challenging one for them so far.. for me I am waiting for AFM results.. I had previously written apm..twice and failed... Then I attempted AFM and failed then I took a year break.. and I wrote my exam on March.. I hope I pass it this time..
I am waiting for SBL results; I don't know what to expect, honestly... It was the weirdest exam ever... I only have one other paper left but I am struggling to make the choice... I was hoping to do ATX but if I fail on Monday and have to resit SBL I won't be able to do ATX as well in September. That means I will have to chose another paper because I don't want to drag this into December as well...

In two days, some of us will be celebrating a milestone, some, a relief that it is finally over and others, disappointed with the grim prospect of repeating the same thing in 6 months. I was luck with my ACCA journey so far. I start acca from F1 in 2017 and self-studied throughout my journey and after 3 years , I am here as a finalist. I always attempted one paper at a time ; from the first paper to the last. And I passed them first time in my 12 exams so far. It was far from a smooth ride, I was university student in the first two years and full time employee from 2019 hence I struggled with time but I managed to do some bits of ACCA everyday or so no matter what. My hardest paper was SBR. The exam was nightmare, only 8 Mark's allocated for calculations; and no consolidations or financial statements at all. I scrapped it with 50 against all odds.

SBL is my final exam to be affiliate. I have attempted reasonably all quations. But I waiting the result desperately.
I'm counting down days in this testing time with Covid-19 work at home.
I also did SBL.

On a more brighter note, does anyone know if examiner reports will be released today given that it’s a bank holiday in some countries?
6y ago#106As today and Monday are national holidays in the UK I would not expected them to be posted before Tuesday.
Ahh That’s a shame. As if I’ve passed I won’t be interested in seeing the report after my results.
Eagerly waiting for Reports to come out Saturday as per recent practice....keeping fingers crossed to get an idea before result date

I think ACCA have wisened to the previous theories of figuring out results prior to issuing. I suggest people don't waste their and others time speculating/ trying to read into small interface changes which mean nothing.

Can’t wait for the results if i’m honest. Unsure why future certified chartered accountants would come up with wild theories to try and cheat the system in order to find out their results early. What impression does that give? Good luck to everybody honourably waiting for their results. I sat SBL and despite finishing the paper in its full capacity still am nervous as to whether i have passed or not. I will be waiting up on Sunday with my Mrs with a nice cold beer for the result!
6y ago#112well, cheat is a bit too much to describe it, they are doing nothing illegal and they don't know if they passed or not they speculate. Some people might say is unethical but definitely not cheating or illegal.

Those who talk about links, do so to speculate about their chance of pass in order to pass time.
I agree this forum and the chat is a way to pass the time in the few days before the results which is always the hardest
Some speculate more than others mainly due to nerves and apprehension. Each to their own
I like to believe every single person in this forum has worked very hard for the results they are anxiously waiting for and no amount of speculation is going to change those results

And it’s chartered certified fyi.Strictly speaking you are correct it is 'chartered certified’ but this term is often used interchangeably and to correct me on that says a lot. My opinion remains the same which is probably inline with most people you do not comment… I do however appreciate it can be stressful times but maybe future professional accountants should not be trying to find their results out earlier than stated

Hi I am waiting for result for AAA think I passed but not sure it’s accrual world not knowing
At other previous exam sessions, examiners reports comes out before the result release date. Could the pandemic be the reason for the delay this time around?
