ACCA reminds students to conduct a MANDATORY IT system test if they are sitting June’s remote exams next week.
Ahead of next week’s June exams, ACCA has been alerting its students of the need to complete a mandatory system test for remote exam sessions.
Dorothy Wood from ACCA UK says: ‘It’s important this test is done by students to ensure their IT is compatible. Students can access this test through the online Exam Planner.’
Failing the system test means students will NOT have met the eligibility criteria to sit a remote exam and will therefore be UNABLE to use the withdrawal option should they experience a technical issue on exam day.
Dorothy concludes: ‘Doing the test is essential. If students haven’t done this test and if they experience technical issues on their exam day, they won’t be able to withdraw their exam or receive an exam credit. If they take the test and fail it, then they need to organise another option. So this is a last call reminder for the mandatory test to be done. And of course, we wish everyone well next week.’
What does ACCA say students need to do?
- Check that you meet the MINIMUM TECHNICAL requirements
You must meet the minimum requirements to successfully sit a remote exam – check that you meet them.
If you do not, for your exam, you may need to borrow a computer or laptop that does meet the requirements or do the exam in a location with a stronger internet connection. REMEMBER, a wired connection is always more stable that Wi-Fi.
- You MUST ALSO PASS our mandatory system test via Exam Planner.
Do it TODAY to ensure your eligibility and again, if you fail try in another location or with a different computer and use that computer/location for your exam. This test must be carried out using the same device and in the same location you’ll use on your exam day. Your last system test result will count for withdrawal eligibility purposes, therefore if you choose to perform the mandatory system test multiple times you must ensure that your last test result is a pass to be eligible for a withdrawal.
- ACCESS the mandatory system test via Exam Planner
The vast majority of students who meet the minimum technical requirements and pass the system test have a great remote exam experience. However, if unforeseen technical issues impact your ability to complete your exam you may wish to use our rebook or withdrawal post-exam options. For more information on our post-exam options and the eligibility criteria please visit our post-exam options page 5. Post exam options | ACCA Global
June 1, 2022 at 3:23 am #657024I Need help in this regards,
Very Urgent. as I did try all what I can and still Facing A “Javascript error occurred in the main process”and receiving emails for not passing the test
I’m really wondering and ACCA support didn’t provide me with a real solution. they have generically responded that I should update my software.
please any one can assist?
June 1, 2022 at 8:07 am #657042If you browse “a javascript error occurred in the main process” you will find articles and videos “4 ways to Fix a Javascript Error” (and similar) But it really depends on what else it says in the error message how you should try and fix it. For example, if it is:
“Uncaught Exception:
Error: Object has been destroyed ….”
you could look for an article or video that deals specifically with that issue.I have seen blogs that suggest that this is a Pearson Vue issue and to contact them directly – https://home.pearsonvue.com/acca/onvue on the bottom right corner – I tried to engage with them this morning but they ask me to “share the screenshot of the error message” – which I obviously can’t do. I suggest you contact them directly – you will need to provide them with your full name, registered email address, complete postal address and phone number for verification purpose.

June 9, 2022 at 7:47 pm #658205Hello
I was supposed to write financial reporting exam today(FR), i launched the exam and was able to do a few questions but then the internet connection dropped saying its not able to connect ,and the system closed the exam on its own.i was not able to finish.
However, i had carried out system test a few days before the exam and passed.
I went to rebook the exam for contingency week. And it credit my account. However when rebooking it displays a messege: ‘the candidate currently has an open registration for this exam. A new registration cannot be created At present’?
I dont know what this means. will i be able to rebook for the contingency week? And how long after im supposed to reebok to be eligible to write, as in is there any deadline.?
June 10, 2022 at 10:29 am #658290I was unable to complete mobile verification as on vue pearson stopped after it clicked my photo. I was unable to click government id photo as option was not coming. Can anyone tell why it could have been so and what to do now?
I had cleared all system tests successfully before exam many times.
June 10, 2022 at 10:36 am #658291@hm1995 your options will only be available after the end of the session that your exam should have finished.
June 10, 2022 at 10:53 am #658293@Frooti It doesn’t matter how many times but rather how recently i.e. the most recent mandatory test. If you go to Pearson Vue www and find the ACCA page there should be a chat function bottom right of the page to ask for help.
June 10, 2022 at 11:14 am #658299I passed systme test before exam as well but still there was issue with checkin on on vue
June 10, 2022 at 11:54 am #658302@Frooti If ACCA’s troubleshooting guide is of no help
https://www.accaglobal.com/sg/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/about-our-exams/remote-exams/remote-session-exams/on-exam-day/troubleshooting-guidance.html
there is a chat function bottom right of this page https://home.pearsonvue.com/acca/onvueIf you have now missed your time slot for today you should be able to reschedule for next week and may still want to contact pearsonvue directly
September 3, 2022 at 11:27 am #665025Hi sir, I have passed the ACCA System test. I got screenshot of the same. However their records show that it has failed. What should I do? I wanted to withdraw from the ACCA Exam of Sept 2022 on medical grounds and since I have opted for remote session I am not getting the withdrawal option as according to them I have not passed the test
September 3, 2022 at 12:14 pm #665028@Rajamma – you are confusing two unrelated things.
See ACCA www https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/help/exam-sessions.html
What happens if I enter an exam and then can no longer take it? THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO …
… After the standard entry deadline, your examination entry fees are NOT refundable or transferable. … It is NOT possible for you to withdraw an exam entry after the standard entry closing date. …It goes on to say …
“Exam withdrawals will only be considered under the most extenuating circumstances, and where supported by documentary evidence; minor illnesses or normal expected workloads cannot be considered. Any supporting documents should be sent to students@accaglobal.com by 21 September for the September session. BUT IF YOU HAVE EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES YOU SHOULD APPLY NOW
If you are granted a withdrawal, you should not attend the examination under any circumstances; in the event that you do so, you will be liable to pay additional fees.
Please note the decision by the Exams team is final.”Above is by APPLICATION – it is not automated.
The systems test pass/fail is something else. If you pass the test but then when you sit the exam there is a technical issue, you will have the option to withdraw or resit in the following week. There are no such options if the systems tests have not been passed – but the options will in any case not be shown until after the exam has been started.
