hello, in the exam how will the qtns come? like see im good with formulating the base equations and the objective function, finsing the iso contributon line, and then solving the optimal solution point equations. the problem i am having is creating my feasible region when i am drawing the paper, eventhoug the equations for my feasible region are correct, while identifying the feasible region im making a mistake like i am inlcuding some area which has been excluded in the solution, i wish i could show u here my drawing my we cant upload pics. so my question is in the exam will they already give us the feasible region highlighted , nd should we just solve the equations to find the optimal production? or should we identify the feasible region ourselves?
Ask the Tutor ACCA PM
linear programming
In the ACCA PM exam, you will not be asked to manually draw or shade graphs to identify a feasible region. Because the exam is a session computer-based exam graph plotting is not examinable.
Instead, you may be tested on this concept through the following ways:Interpreting graphs:
You could be provided with a pre-drawn graph and expected to identify the correct feasible region or understand the constraints.
Calculating the optimum point: You need to know that the plan will always lie on the boundaries (corners/vertices) of the feasible region.
Simultaneous equations: You will be expected to use algebra to find the exact figures for your optimal product mix by solving the intersecting constraint equations that form the corner of the region.
