Hey guys!
I want to know if i would lose the status of OBU incase i leave ACCA.
Also, Do i still have to pay the membership fees after leaving ACCA so that the OBU would be recognised?October 1, 2020 at 12:27 pm #587139To be eligible to submit work you must be up to date with your ACCA subscriptions. Therefore if you leave ACCA before being awarded the degree you do not qualify. However once the degree has been awarded as it has been awarded by the University it can only be taken away and the award rescinded in exceptional circumstances – non-payment of fees to a 3rd party body such as ACCA would not fall within this definition.
(However if the degree was obtained by false means e.g. the report was not written by you or there has been cheating/collusion the award can be annulled. When I was an ACO officer I successfully proved that several students had obtained the qualification by deception. They were then stripped of it and if an employer then seeks confirmation they would be told it had been rescinded)
