Hey guys,
Hope you are doing fine. So I’ve been working at a Big 4 firm for 3 years now (no expertise in any field just 1.5 years in audit and 1.5 in advisory) and I started ACCA last quarter of 2022 after claiming exemptions till F-7 or FR. Exams went well and I’ve been thinking about leaving the firm on completion of the 36 months so I can focus better on my studies but I’m hesitant because I’m in the South Asia region and plan on moving to UK and I don’t know if I will be able to get a job there even after qualifying for ACCA if I leave the firm because I’ve heard that audit is the route if you want to go abroad easily.
It really doesn’t matter right now if I get a job in the industry or firm because I just want to be able to move there on sponsorship from employer.
It’s really stressful, studying while working which can sometimes go from 10 am to 12am in the night and I’m just paid a stipend and it’s very low so I have to rely on my family for fees. I’m honestly tired but if it’s not a wise decision I won’t resign and work till June 2023 as per my contract.
Let me know what do you guys think from your knowledge and experience working.
Thanks!

December 12, 2022 at 1:13 pm #674350@tbmks no, they don’t. It’s not how it goes in firms here but I meant visa sponsorship there.
