    A manufacturing company wants to measure the learning rate that it has achieved with the manufacture of a new product item.The first item produced took 6 hours to make and the average time for the first 16 units was 3.3 hours.What has been the learning rate for this product?
    ( a bpp sec a question)
    Ans : 86%.
    Pls help sir.

    The fourth root of (3.3/6) = 0.86 (86%).

    It is using the doubling rule, and 16 is doubling 4 times.

    (If you watch the free lecture on learning curves then there is a full explanation of the doubling rule.)
