I can work this out. Your answer is 59 hours. My answer is 78 hours.

1st units takes 25 hours, learning rate is 75% (-0.415)

How long will it take to produce an additional 7 units (to nearest Hour)?

    (25 x 7 ^-.415) x7= 78 hours

    Please can you explain?

    Thanks
    Stuart

Another one is. Fist units takes 8 hours, and the second take 6 hours, what is the learning rate.

    Your answer is 87.5%

    Mine is 75% (6hr/8hrs)=0.75 x 100= 75%

How did you get to 87.5% ?

    Thanks
    Stuart

You need to watch the lectures!!

For the first question, if they produce an additional 7 units then they will have produced 8 in total. You need to calculate the total time for 8 and then subtract the time for the first in order to get the time for the next 7.

For the second question, the learning rate applies to the average time per unit.

If we make 2, then the average time per unit is (6+8)/2 = 7 hours.
So the learning rate is 7/8 = 87.5%
