Why are you attempting a question for which you do not have an answer? You should be using a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA Approved Publishers - they have answers and explanations. The first batch of 10 units takes 100 hours. If they make another 30 units they will then have made 40 units or 4 batches of 10 units. The total time for 4 batches is 100 + 150 = 250 hours. So the average time per batch is 250/4 = 62.5 hours. Given that making 4 batches involves doubling twice, the learning rate = square root (62.5/100) = 0.79 (or 79%). Have you watched my free lectures on learning curves, because this is all explained in my lectures? The lectures are a complete free course for Paper PM and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
