    Hello sir,

I went through the BPP P&R kit and noticed there were alot of knowledge based questions (around 33) I have heard from many students who have already sat for the exam that those knowledge based questions are of little use and mostly Past paper question practice would be more suitable. So my question is from your perspective as a tutor and with no objective affiliation with BPP do you think focusing and practice on those knowledge based questions should be prioritised or should it rather be given minimal effort (limited time allocated for those and just read through) and more focus on SBL past papers? Would highly appreciate your insights on this matter as I find SBL to be quite different in the sense I practiced for other exams

    TIA 🙂

You are very unlikely to be asked to regurgitate straight knowledge in the exam so I would concentrate on past paper questions. These often require the application of knowledge (and common sense) to solve problems.

The knowledge (theories/models/frameworks/lists) can be helpful solving problems and if you can back-up your answer with reference to a framework etc then your answer is stronger and more authoritative as it is not simply based on your ideas but makes use of accepted approaches. This is not just an exam in common sense.

So concentrate on exam-type questions and perhaps turn to the knowledge-based questions if an answer to an exam-type question makes use of a theory you are unfamiliar with or didn’t think of using. You can use the answers to these questions as a form of note that are worth reading.
