Dear all,
My question might sound easy but i want to make sure if its a typo in my exam kit or I misunderstand the calculation
Question 1
The time taken to produce the first unit was 100 hour. The time for second unit was 90 hour
What is the learning curve %?
Answer in kaplan is 95.
can someone please explain to me why is it 95%?
It is certainly not a typo – the answer is correct.
The average time per unit for the first two units is (100 + 90) / 2 = 95 hours.
Therefore the learning rate is 95/100 = 95%.
I really do suggest that you watch my free lectures on learning curves, because this is a common question. My lectures are a complete free course for Paper PM and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
(In future, if you want me to answer then ask in the Ask the Tutor Forum 🙂 )
