Mr mike
Really thanks for all your method in answer made me organize my time in exam me hand was writing automatically by W1. W2 and other I hade F6 exam before F7 and big problem how to organize my answer and from what start in F7 I was starting automatically the time was very good and all tricks in exam is easy if just answer mini exercises in notes
I have question
In q2 I wrote to marker (sorry financial position in other booklet answer ) because I forgot it and I answered it in other booklet answer
Please tell me about thisJune 5, 2014 at 11:55 am #174157Not a problem! The marker will find it and you’ll get whatever credit you deserve.
Don’t worry!
June 7, 2014 at 11:57 pm #175096hi,mike… could you please tell me how examiner marked answer script?? here in consolodation i think i made a mistake by not giving notes on intercompany sales and purchases i just subtract intercomapny sales from revenue and intercompany purchases from COGS but did not give any note that these are intercomapny….. do they penalise me for this mistake??? it would be great for me if you reply to my question as soon asap…thanks
June 8, 2014 at 2:05 pm #175196I don’t see why a speedy response should be any more appreciated than a slow one but, anyway, here goes!
What’s the problem? If you have correctly arrived at a revenue and a cost of sales figure, the marker will surely know how you have arrived there.
Even if there were 3 or 4 amendments to make, a marker will know which of the 3 or 4 you have missed off!
Besides, there’s nothing at all that you nor I can say nor do that is going to affect your mark. August 8 – you’ll know then!
June 8, 2014 at 5:24 pm #175240Hi Mike, Will there be any chance of you talking us through how you would have tackled the June exam before results are released?
June 8, 2014 at 5:57 pm #175246That is certainly my plan to be included with the rest of my Summer programme.
As they say “Watch this space”
June 29, 2014 at 3:28 pm #177833mike,could you please explain, in the statement of changes in equitys b/f, for example in the trial balance s.capital of 5000 is given for the year ended dec 2014 and i wrote in the statement changes in equity…. share capital for dec 2014 5000 in b/f area…. for every adjustment there were 0.5 marks allocated so my question is it a methodological error???
June 29, 2014 at 3:36 pm #177834wrong in dates but the figure is alright
June 29, 2014 at 6:22 pm #177841Was there a change in share capital in the year? If not, then brought forward and carried forward share capital would be the same.
If the bottom line of your statement of changes in equity is the same as your equity section on the statement of financial position, how could you have gone wrong?
Whatever…….. why are you still dwelling over something that you cannot change? It’s done! It’s gone! It’s as much use worrying about it now as it is being Suarez’ dentist worrying about whether “that bite” has maybe damaged his dentures. My belief is that he should have all his teeth removed and replaced by a plastic set that fall out automatically when in contact with living flesh. Or that light up and ring a tune (like a mobile phone)
Stop worrying! August 8 is still 6 weeks away – enjoy the Summer and watch that British tennis player win Wimbledon, unless he loses in which case he becomes a Scottish player
June 29, 2014 at 9:40 pm #177848i did not get wrong though my figures were correct but the date i put in socie was wrong i put trial balance date(rept date) 2014 as a b/f in socie but the correct answer is trial balance date is c/f….seems that i will lose 2 marks for inputting wrong dates in socie…. i know what u r saying here about suarez u want to divert my mind thats it but i want to pass
June 30, 2014 at 5:34 am #177862You will likely lose no marks at all for putting the wrong date! What is the ACCA looking for? People who can put in a correct date? I think not!
Move on 🙂
