same here, got the same question SEC C was ok but SEC B was a bit hard , especially those target and Variances question.
June 10, 2022 at 5:41 am #658245very hard exam because it took a huge amount of time by solving linear programming and 20 point questions
June 10, 2022 at 1:42 pm #658308Same here. Section C was Ok but section B questions were a bit difficult.
June 10, 2022 at 1:48 pm #658310Well, part (a) of the question actually included some budget calculations for 20×9 as far as I remember and the scenario was talking about internet ads getting popular. However, if you looked at budet (which you were supposed to do) it focused more on TV and Newspaper ads, rather than internet. That’s the main drawback of incremental budgeting as it just continues previous year’s budget without considering big changes. ZBB however is better at it cause it starts from scratch. The whole point of the question was to work through each section one by one. It wasn’t too difficult.

I assume we got different papers as I can’t remember seeing a linear programming question ?
June 13, 2022 at 10:10 am #658616I got the linear programming question – didnt have a clue what to do.
Also got transfer pricing, there was a question in section B about candles – was clueless there too. looking like a resit, not happy.June 13, 2022 at 11:08 am #658620I also got linear programming and profit statement and revision based on divisional transfer pricing (section c). Does anyone else just feel like the section C practise questions available online and in the books end up being nothing like the ones you get in the exam?
Wasted so much time trying to figure out how to start the linear programming one I ran out of time on the rest of the paper – very frustrating.
June 13, 2022 at 11:46 am #658626Yes. I totally understand what you are saying, the revision kits do not reflect the difficulty and type of questions that are cropping up.
June 13, 2022 at 8:05 pm #658666What did you guys get for the T.A.R in section B?
And the linear programming question was nutsJune 13, 2022 at 8:36 pm #658669Honestly can’t remember it’s a blur, defo got a section b that involved tpar tho and operational and planning variances cropped up. Sounds like there were a couple of exam variations again.
June 13, 2022 at 8:52 pm #658670The last question about the building blocks scenario was too long. No way you can answer it in 34 minutes.it is, not realistic!! Also, some questions in section B was difficult too.
June 13, 2022 at 9:30 pm #658671my PM exam was a complete disaster. couldn’t manage my time…. the section A didnt cover the whole syllabus…. section B was Throughput accounting which i hadnt practiced well. in sectioc C i got linear programming and Transfer pricing.. the linear programming crq was so confusing and transfer pricing crq as well. managed to attempt some parts of both crqs but i think I’ll fail..
June 13, 2022 at 10:02 pm #658672Same lol
I literally guessed 95% of section B questions.
The questions were so confusing and nothing was adding up so i just randomly selected.June 14, 2022 at 7:11 am #658679There is no way a candidate could answer the Building Block model question in section C within 34 minutes, the case itself will take 34 minutes just to read ! Section A & B were comparatively hard. The pricing question from section B blew me off completely!
June 14, 2022 at 8:22 am #658693You guys have no idea how much relief I get from knowing other people agree with me about the ridiculous level of the questions set for this , exam was beginning to think it was just me that’s is a bit dim. I have passed everything else first time but this exam I am seriously struggling with.if I don’t pass this time (second sitting) I am giving it a break and looking at FM
June 14, 2022 at 8:45 am #658696How did you solve transfer pricing question. I mean I just couldn’t figure out sales for buying division
June 14, 2022 at 10:33 am #658706Same.. i just assumed they sold 600 units but i didnt include the discounts etc from the market research in the original profit statement
June 14, 2022 at 10:47 am #658711Okay, that was difficult one!! Anyway how did you calculate that relevant cost for material?
June 14, 2022 at 11:13 am #658724Lol i think i just used the transfer price that division B wouldve bought the materials at + the cost of the external containers to complete a single unit.
Honestly, i had no idea what the hell i was doing or how to do these questions (except the theory).
I literally sat for like 10mins dumbfoundedJune 14, 2022 at 12:48 pm #658728I asked for the question which was in sec A relevant cost for material.
June 14, 2022 at 5:43 pm #658741I honestly cant remember
June 15, 2022 at 8:57 am #658795I got Target Costing, Variance & Pricing decision in Section B !! Section A was a complete joke, didn’t see these questions ever before. I completed the Kaplan Exam kit Twice, didn’t help me to solve 10% of the exam !! Did past papers, nothing relevant came up, & Section C, when I thought I could write with proper analysis, the case they give is Way beyond reading, loads of Information, Pro forma Was given to compare 2 companies with building block model reference. 2 measure for 4 determinants, total of 8 measures & 16 calculations with discussion !! & 34 Minutes time to allocate as per normal mark average !! Is it a joke or not ??
