It wasn't very difficult
So frustrating when they give you something random in section C,
I had Tree Decisions, explain the process and what the numbers means
And ROI & RI questions for the other Section C
Section B was weird too, no variance, Bottleneck, Minimax, learning curve questions
Section A was decent, other than that...
Might just stop doing 3 years of past papers questions and instead do random questions
section a and b was ok but c, very tricky, performance measurement and cvp.
i want to ask whats the extra 10 marks in cbe exam is for? any one plz
what was your section c.?
The exam went well.
Section A was fairly easy. Section B I got ABC, Linear Programming and Variances.
Section C I got Financial and Non financial and ZBB.
In all it was a good exam.
Thanks to John Moffat for his lectures.
Who got the Transfer Pricing question in section A?.
In the ABC there were a lot of distractors ??.
I got cvp c/s ratio of hotel and performance analysis of trust, questions in section c any one else got it?
Transfer price of 100,000 profit at 1 division and loss at another division ?
Do you remember any answers from your section c cvp question?
yes i got same ppr
Yes i got that transfer pricing ques. I had no idea of solving that sum. And yes the ABC had distractors. I had to read the question thrice to get a clear idea.
I got c/s ratio 58% and break even profit 7,200 per week, do you remember your answers?
The Transfer pricing question was so confusing. I chose a decrease of 50000 because there was no direct attributable fixed costs from not selling to the other division. I’ve forgotten the names of the divisions. Same here, I had to read the ABC question numerous times. It looked easy but mehn there were big distractors.

It wasn’t as difficult as expected. Hoping for a good score.
I got a performance management question of a trust, part two of the same question was to describe a CRM software. The second question was a CVP question for section c
Did you write the afternoon paper ?

For variance question in section B, do we have to take budgeted contribution or budgeted sales to calculate sales mix variance?
It’s Standard contribution. So yes budgeted contribution.

Anyone get budgeting for section a
Then section b get performance pyramid and league tables and value for money?
I can’t remember what the other question was?
That CVP question in section C about the hotel was tough! I wasn't used to calculating variable costs from the gross profit margin, whenever I've done those kinds of qs in the past, contribution has been pretty easy to figure out. I really liked the other section C about the trust, though.
Did you get an ABC question in Section A?
We had to calculate total cost right?
How did you do it?
@agboolakenny84
I sat for the morning paper
Yes I got ABC. I’ve forgotten the details but i know i arrived to an answer.

Which budget dsnt take into consideration uncertainty was a qstn
Variance flexible budget simulation rolling budget
Then there was variance qstn in which there is no material price variance but the cost of material was 156000 so we had to calculate aq nd den material mix I guess anyone wth this qstn
Cudnt attend sec c qstn compltely wch was to calculate weighted avg cs ratio. I got it smtg 60.9 I guess ?
simran98 wrote:Did you get an ABC question in Section A? We had to calculate total cost right?
How did you do it?

@agboolakenny84I had this one, I had no idea how to do it since the fixed overheads that apply to the machine hours werent given
agboolakenny84 wrote:It’s Standard contribution. So yes budgeted contribution. For this one I just followed what they had done for the example they had given
pjashu1995 wrote:I got c/s ratio 58% and break even profit 7,200 per week, do you remember your answers?I thought mine said to calculate breakeven revenue in $ not profit, but I might be wrong, I did my answer for breakeven revenue
