i am a current student at LSBF. . My F4 lecturer has already told us some definite topics for the exam, By breaking down the question topics from december 07 till december 11. According to her and a apparent statement from the f4 examiner, there will be:
1 question ELS
2/3 questions Law of Contract
3/4 questions Company Law
1 question Employment Law
going by each paper since dec07 these are the topics that have always come up and the number of questions on each topic! hope it helps!February 3, 2012 at 4:23 pm #93089are you kidding? this is the format every exam! Did your lecturer also suggest that she was pretty good at predicting likely exam topics? This is as good as forecasting that, after I go to sleep at night, the next thing I know it will be daylight! Wow, I’m good!
The only thing I would pick her up on is that somewhere, either instead of the third company law question or at least somewhere in the exam there will likely be a question on agency and / or partnership
February 29, 2012 at 12:10 pm #93092Got to agree with MikeLittle here…anyone could deduce that just from having a wade through the past exam papers!! It’s not exactly cutting down on the amount of studying by saying questions are going to come up in those subject areas is it.
Better off waiting for the “exam tips” paragraph on the F4 section of Open Tuition which should appear a bit closer to the time.
March 7, 2012 at 3:48 pm #93094I’m going to add to daindian’s lecturer’s predictions and guess that there will be ten questions in the exam, ten marks for each question. The first seven (remember, I’m just guessing here) will be knowledge based and the last three could very well be scenario based.
I think, between the LSBF lecturer and her crystal ball and me, we could have got quite an accurate prediction there;)

we can not predict any question …. only the paper format is the best way to predict the topic… and we should be good on those topics.
May 15, 2012 at 7:35 pm #93101I understand that you can’t predict the questions, but generally the indications given on opentuition are thought to be strong. I don’t quite understand what you mean by “only the paper format is the best way to predict the topic”. Obviously in an ideal world we would be good on all topics, but the scope of the syllabus is such that an indication of what is likely to come up is very useful, and I wondered if these exam tips are anywhere on the site yet? Thanks.
May 20, 2012 at 5:39 pm #93102Yes they are already on the site – if you go to the F4 notes page and scroll down to the bottom, that is where they are.
May 22, 2012 at 4:37 pm #93103How reliable are these – It feels like too much to learn the whole bpp book!!!
