General ACCAIs not showing up for exams considered an attempt?

If you do not turn up it is not recorded as an attempt - you are just recorded as having been absent. (But they do not refund your payment)

What difference would it make if your absent or if you fail? It's not like it will say anywhere how many attempts you did to clear a certain paper or ACCA. Correct me if I'm wrong.

As far as I am aware,it just says to be attempted on status report he you have not passed an exam regardless of whether you have entered an exam and failed or entered an exam and not shown up for the exam.

Yes and what we are saying is that your report doesn't give a detail of failed/pass exams so they wouldn't know which ones you failed. Yes it may or may not increase # of attempts for your full ACCA and point that you've not completed ACCA papers in one attempt.

I don't think any employer has the time to verify these things and they don't really care if you re-sat an exam. As long as you meet their other requirements, such as 4-5 attempts for all ACCA papers, retakes won't matter to them. Are you a finalist???

I can tell you that no where on the exam status sheet does it say how many times you have attempted the paper. I know this as I failed F7 and it does not say that I had failed, after I had the pass mark at the next attempt.
