Hi Respected john sir, plz help me in the following question. i could’t get it at all. The answer is given $ 74116.

$1000 is invested at $105 per annum and the interest is re-invested each year. what is the value of the investment after three years.

i could only understand that question is about to findout future value

I don’t think you have typed the question properly.

You have written ‘$1000 is invested at $105 per annum’, but that does not make any sense.

In that case, the question is certainly not correct in the book.
I have tried to think what the typing error could have been, but I still cannot find a way of getting to their answer.
    Sorry 🙁
