Hello everyone, do we have to know the IAS NOs in P7 exams? I was thinking stating the fact of the standard should earn marks even without knowing the number.
April 20, 2012 at 1:56 pm #96461I have answered this question ( many times ) before! I still cannot believe that Lisa will award a mark for being able to quote the title, let alone the number. Surely the knowledge which you need is the content of the ISAs and IASs and IFRSs. In practice, if you were ever to need them, you could look them up on the internet or in the book of ISAs etc.
Having said that, if you look in marking schemes, there is sometimes a mark allocated to ( apparently ) the title and / or the number.
But I still cannot believe it!
If you have scored 49 on first marking, I suppose a marker could be sufficiently impressed to give you that one extra mark. It may be only one mark, but it’s the difference between pass and fail.
Personally, I would not even try to remember the official titles, let alone the numbers. But that’s up to you.
Sorry I cannot help more
