The question is as follow:
(b) Prepare briefing notes for the Rail Co Board outlining and justifying an appropriate range of Key Performance Indicators that supports the new mission of the organization. (8 marks)
Professional skills marks are available for demonstrating commercial acumen in your choice of Key Performance Indicators (2 marks)
My inquiries are as follows:
1. Do 8 marks equate to 4 points, each of which has one mark for outlining and one mark for justifying?
2. How many marks are earned by presenting an answer with a style of briefing notes?
3. Here is one of the four points I made in my answer: “Revenue growth: The growth of sales earned from railway services should be measured periodically, such as weekly, monthly and annually. The growth in the revenue indicates an expanded publicity of Rail’s railway services and demonstrate the degree of favorability the public views the services of Rail, which shows that provision of the railway services with high quality and in the most caring manner is being achieved. .
Does this gives enough outline and justification to earn 2 marks for this point?
My new mission statement for the previous question 6(a) is “We are to transport customers in the most wanted manner. We aim to do so by providing customers with the most highly cost-effective and high-quality railway services. We shall treat every customer with the most caring manner. At Rail, we value care and concern for others as our most priority.”
Therefore, the above point I made is related back to the new mission statement.
4. Does my answer sound commercial enough to earn at least 1 mark for commercial acumen?
Thanks,
Tin Nguyen

2 Probably a maximum of 1. The format is rather trivial.
3 Seems good
4 Yes.
