I’m sitting 4 exams in June… F4, F5, F6 & F7.
I work full time and I have 2 children, doesn’t leave much time for study π
Is anyone else sitting / has sat four exams at once?

Nope, studied 5 at once before (Sep-Nov, 2 exams in Dec, 3 in June) but good luck!
You going to a college? Or all home study? I assume you’ve got lots of work experience? (Or I’d wonder why you are doing it!)
May 21, 2010 at 1:15 pm #60434Yes college 1 day a week and lots of work experience – 4 in one sitting is not for the faint hearted π
June 16, 2010 at 8:53 am #60435Well thats that!
F6 – I seem to be the only person that was happy with this paper.
F4 – Absolutely nailed it. Very pleased.
F5 – Bit tricky but nothing too scary.
F7 – This was the worst for me. Probably failed although a pass is still possible.
So likely I’m looking at 3 out of 4 with a resit in december for F7. I feel drained.
August 23, 2010 at 8:32 am #60436F6 – 67%
F4 – 70%
F5 – 72%
F7 – 55%Couldn’t ask for better really π
August 23, 2010 at 8:57 am #60437Well done…thats excellent. Can I ask how many hours you put into 4 papers each week?
I’m looking to take 3 in Dec10 as a home study student and am wondering if it will be possible for me to achieve.
August 23, 2010 at 9:24 am #60438Thanks!
I did approximately 30 hours worth of practice questions per subject in total (a lot of that during my study leave just before the exams), plus another 10 hours of reading and taking notes.
Three in Dec is certainly possible, but it takes discipline and hard work. My advice would be to make sure you get both Study texts and Practice texts, and always always do some practice questions after you’ve done a chapter in the study text.
Practicing as many exam style questions as I could was what got me through.
Best of luck to you
August 23, 2010 at 12:09 pm #60439omg u r unbelievable! taking 4 exams at once is one thing, but having 2 kids as well?!
congrats! i dun think i cud score all if i were in the same position, lol.
just a quick Q, do u think ur work experience helps u a lot in doing ur study?
August 23, 2010 at 12:19 pm #60440Hi asmahmazlan
Thanks! Work experience helps, but not as much as you think – The knowledge I had gained from doing AAT beforehand was a lot more useful π
Having others help when you are stuck is also great – if you plan to self study, stay close to opentuition and dont be afraid to ask!

Hi accaman,
I was just wondering when exactly did you start studying for the June exams? e.g. 3 or 4 months beforehand?
August 24, 2010 at 2:05 pm #60442Hi Orlab
I started studying back in December! Only a couple of hours each week at the most.
I think the total number of hours you put in (30 or more) is more important than the timescale you do them in though π
August 24, 2010 at 4:44 pm #60443thanks accaman! would definitely stay close to this site since it has proved to be beneficial for me in my latest exams π
what study text do you use for your study? do u stick with one publisher or change it when necessary? cause i know some people wud use either kaplan/bpp based on whether the paper is theoretical/calculation and such
August 24, 2010 at 7:23 pm #60444Really well done….I have four to go & am thinking of doing the lot in one final sitting in December so I will take inspiration from you!! I also have kids (3) so it won’t be easy with work as well but if I pass it will be 13 exams passed in 2 yrs with one exemption. its a challenge but one worth aiming for i think
August 25, 2010 at 7:13 am #60445asmahmazlan: The college that I attend one day per week uses BPP. They review BPP vs Kaplan each year and decide which one to work from, so far it’s been BPP every time.
johnnyn123: You’re going to sit four Professional papers? WOW! I took on four at foundation level because a fair amount of it was building on what I had already learned at AAT. I’m planning to do 3 this year, followed by two then two and finishing in four years. You’re a braver man than me, I wish you the very best of luck π
August 25, 2010 at 5:04 pm #60446accaman, I can but try. If they were easy everyone would be doing them.
2 quotes from Winston Churchill spring to mind:“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”
“Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential”
