Dear Sir, I would like to know whether I need to remember the name and number of relevant IASs and ISAs, and quote in answering F8 exam questions? Thanks,

To quote the examiner: "Questions will normally be based on ISAs. However, answers will obtaincredit if valid points are made. I am not expecting rote learning of ISAs; rather,an understanding of the key principles underlying auditing. Also, candidates should not worry about learning ISA numbers, as there is no credit available for listing the ISA numbers."
