I need help to pass AAA

Firstly I want to thank you for all your excellent lectures! I passed all the first 11 exams I took first time thanks to Open Tuition. I listened to all the lectures, read through the Kaplan publishing textbook then did some practice questions.

However when it came to AAA I did the same thing and failed with 42%, I then listened to all the lectures again and did a lot of practice questions focusing on my exam technique, I was sure I had passed but failed again with the same mark. I've now booked an exam for September, what advise do you have for me that can change my result this time round?

First you need to understand WHY you failed - if you think the answered the Qs to a pass standard you need to focus on what it is you are actually writing and assessing how "mark worthy" it is. The "Read the mind of an AAA marker" resources are vitally important if you don't have access to someone to mark any work for you. You should also consider, even if you don't know anyone who can mark an answer for you, could they read one and give an opinion on whether it reads professionally? Style of writing gives an impression to the marker and you want them on board in wanting to pass your script!

You shouldn't need to go back to lectures or texts after two attempts unless you realise there's something you don't properly understand - in which case I would recommend that you use the search function in ACCA's AAA (INT or UK) Study Hub chapters for details.

You should also make sure that you have read at least once all the examining team's technical articles that focus on the exam (not just a topic) https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/p7/technical-articles.html

e.g. Ethics in the AAA exam, both the ISQM articles, the exam approach and technique articles in syllabus area D, etc
