Is this a good definition ?
Accounting is the art of recording accounting elements and its cause
April 18, 2022 at 4:19 pm #653808May I ask if you have been asked to come up with your own definition of Accounting? I would suggest the above is a reasonable start. I would suggest as well as recording, that you also mention processing, calculating, presenting and interpreting economic and financial information. If you want other ideas please also look up ACCA, CIMA and Wikipedia for further ideas about definitions of Accounting. If you want further help please ask. Hope this helps.

It will be particularly useful if you decide to study accounting with one of professional bodies in future, especially ACCA or CIMA,as notes and lectures specifically addressing syllabuses of these are provided on this site. I’d just like to reiterate, if you need further help with above or anything else please ask.
