June 18, 2012 at 5:51 pm #101059i used tows thought it made sense as the swot analysis was don for you – lots of peopel saying they used pestel i dont understand why it would have been the same points as hade been made in the swot analysis im really not sure think i might have gone wrong
June 18, 2012 at 6:15 pm #101060Getting worried after reading the comments on here.
For question 1b, I gave a qick Pestel paragraph (this didnt feel right at time but mind went blank) then i write a a bit about SAF but then focused mainly on choosing to be a cost leader of differentiator.
Have I missed the point completely with this question? Thanks

I do not think Pestel or five forces were applicable given the swot analysis. I discussed Porter’s generic strategies : cost leadership ( I explained why this would not work), differentiator ( I explained why this would work), furthermore I briefly discussed focused differentiator as the scenario made the point that maybe children’s footwear was a particularly attractive niche market.
