    Hello Ken,

i followed Mikelittle’s method of answering questions in P1 and found it very useful. The method goes something like this:
    1) Divide the mark allocated for the question by 2 and that’s your planning time
    2) you’ll be left with 1 min 18sec for writing each point which should consist of maximum only three lines
    3) write each point separately and put subheadings above each point

Do you think this method would work well in P3? Asking this because P3 answers look so much more intimidating than P1 answers! The information are all clumped up together. Thanks in advance 🙂

I think that for P3 50% of your time in reading and planningm is too much.

So, take a 25 mark question.. There are about 48 minutes for that and I do not think you ahould spend more than about 12 to 15 minutes reading and planning ie about 25% – 30% orherwise you wont have time to write enough.

I agree that each point ahould be a separate paragraph, usually a couple of paragraphs. I don’t think it’s necessary to have a heading before each point as it wastes time. Save headings for groups of related paragraphs.

I have noticed that most times the ACCA past paper answers are a bit lengthy.
Is it that those answers are done in such a way to help students to understand the answer OR is it that we are supposed to ideally write that amount as well in the actual exam?
