August 3, 2015 at 12:58 am #264822Hello
One is entirely theoretical and the other calculations based. I would say its ok
Follow the lectures on this website and make notes as the lecturer explains. My approach was completing all the lectures first and then diving into the past papers (Kept 4 recent papers untouched).
I just read the case scenarios and made points for the answer and then compared with the examiners answer. I used a different colour ink for the points mentioned there that I didnt think of.
I then watched the P1 lectures again before the paper and read the notes and my work above. Feeling prepared I applied my understanding to the 4 papers mentioned above and again followed suit with the different ink.
Scored 69 on first attempt. I only watched the lectures again because P1 is very boring, going through all that theory is torture, at least Sir Mike has some funny comments to make thing interesting in the lecture. Best of Luck!

Hello
Iam sarmad first thing i would like to say is f6 and p1 combination is perfect because on one hand you could practice numeric questions of f6 and on the other hand you can learn and revise theoretical questions of p1 thus making it a perfect match of your choice. 2nd thing is that you should have a sound knowledge of companies’ governance , its ethics and risks sustained by those respectable companies. As far as f6 is concerned you should practice exam questions contained in exam kits (i urge you to have exam kits of kaplan or bpp because they are accredited study material providers of ACCA and the questions that these kits have are in an organized form). And don’t take these subjects easy because they are one of the toughest exams in ACCA. Best of luckAugust 10, 2015 at 7:58 pm #266612Read the student articles! For p1 they covered around 25%of the exam in 2015. Just abit of extra reading that if missed could have significantly reduced marks.
