In example 1 of F7 Chapter4 notes, Gain of $7000 on disposal of asset of discontinued operations has not been taken in calculation of profit & loss of Discontinued operations, but instead they kept it in administrative expenses of entity can you please tell me why??

I think it's because the $7,000 gain, netted off the administrative expenses, has been netted off in arriving at $10,000 as shown in the question
