Hi
Can I use my financial calculator for pv computations and macauly calculation etc.
Will I still obtain the marks if I show what my input variable were ?
Thank you for the assistance.
Ask the Tutor ACCA AFM
Financial calculator
You must show the workings in the exam - it is the workings that get the marks rather than the final answer.
eg if for an interest calc I show the following :
Pv = -1079
Fv= 1000
Pmt=60
n=5
and then I show compute
i= and the answer
Will i get marks for the above ?
No - not full marks. You need to prove to the marker that you know what you are doing and not just letting a calculator do it for you :-)
ok thank you
You are welcome :-)
