    Good afternoon all!

I am thinking into enrolling to get the ACCA but I have a doubt before starting studying!

I have been advised I can get exemptions for AB, MA, FA and LW thanks to my bachellors and masters degrees. So I would like to enroll and start studying to complete ACCA in May.

The thing is that, is very likely that in 2 years and a half (summer 2022) I am moving to the USA due to my fiance´s job. I would like to already have my ACCA by then, so it is easier for me to find a job in the USA.

I know they use CPA there, but I think having an international qualification will help a lot. I have read in these blogs that most papers require at least two months to prepare, and not all the exams can be taken at certain dates… So I am a bit confused and I am unable to make a plan to take all the papers in within two years. Please can you advise?

I wouldnt like to enrrol and waste two years and by the time I have to move, not having been able to complete it.

    Many thanks!

I was saying that it is possible to qualify in 2 years. You have some already done and now with 4 sessions of the exam, a year try to pass at least one in each sitting. But you can do 4 at the time, so try to do two at the start and once you get to the professional lever do one at the time or two max.
I have a blog where I try to motivate and inspire students to qualify as I did last year. I had 3 kids, a full-time job and managed to do it. So if you like please visit:

Merian, it can be done in two years but…
Please set your expectations right, ACCA is not like in Uni and it is a totally different environment and study structure. Well depending on the resources you choose really it will determine how soon you will manage to complete. With 4 exam sessions you can take up to 4 papers at the time (although I really wouldn’t recommend such intensity, especially for the professional level papers (last 4)
If you not sure which resource to choose, I have got an article for you which lists all the options https://mumcandoit.com/acca-study-resources-for-uk-students/
Also once you do study, please look at my other post which has useful study planner free to download. https://mumcandoit.com/8-most-essential-tools-for-a-professional-student/
It took me 4 years to do 5 papers (I did too have exemptions from Uni) but don’t take me as an example of how quick it can be done as I had 2 babies in between and third one already during my Uni years, plus a full-time job and I was not fully focused.
Choose your resource right and you should be on your way to qualify in 2 years time. Good luck. You can do it!
