Hi
This is the first time I’m using this site or posting a note so apologies if its a daft question. The F7 text book (dated Feb 2016) which I’ve got for the June exam has 23 chapters and some of your support materials including the study notes (30 chapters) have a different number. Am I okay to use these study notes/lectures or are they going to be updated.
Thank you in anticipation of your response.
January 23, 2017 at 12:04 pm #368982there is a newer version on the website, sept/dec 2016, its 30 chapters, download that one
perhaps even they now have a version for 2017, but you can get a more recent version, donwload from here
January 23, 2017 at 12:39 pm #368987Thanks for your reply. The link takes me to the study notes and study guide I was referring to and I have both. I’ll use these and keep an eye out for any newer versions.
January 23, 2017 at 5:59 pm #369078Hi Rubee
You write ‘The F7 text book (dated Feb 2016) which I’ve got for the June exam has 23 chapters …’
Our notes are NOT based on any textbook and the chapters in our course notes will only coincidentally tally with any chapter in any textbook
But at least you can always post your question on this site and get a reasonably quick answer
Incidentally, this page is called ‘Ask ACCA Tutor’ so responses from anyone other than me are to be treated with extreme caution – those responses are not authorised!
January 23, 2017 at 6:40 pm #369088Hi. I think I’ll read the text book chapter and then the relevant notes and see how that works initially. Thanks for the clarification and quick responses – much appreciated!
January 23, 2017 at 6:44 pm #369090Hmm, ok. If you really want to plough your way through a study text but, be warned, it will be heavy going
Try it for a couple of chapters but if you find progress is too slow or not stimulating, put the study text to one side to be used sparingly and only when there is something in the video lectures that you don’t understand
And don’t forget that I’m here for those situations
January 23, 2017 at 7:30 pm #369092Lol! You can tell I’m new to these resources – I wasn’t really sure how to fit the notes and video lectures in with the text book! I’m self teaching, so I think your advice is good and will save me time. I will only use the text as a reference if I need it. Thank you.
January 23, 2017 at 8:05 pm #369094You’re welcome
